Making wishes come true for thousands of children in over 50 countries is no easy feat. However, Trakstar is lucky enough to work with an organization that does it beautifully, Make-A-Wish International. Make-A-Wish has become world-renowned the leading wish granting organization that specializes in granting wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions. The International life-changing has employees spanning multiple continents as they work to expand the reach of wishes of every eligible child. With such a geographically diverse employee and client-base, they needed a tool that could help them gain consistency and accountability across oceans and they found it with Trakstar.

 

Connecting International Employees

Bridging oceans presents its own unique set of challenges when it comes to operating a lean organization. Make-A-Wish International has offices in the United States and a regional office in the Netherlands, along with remote employees across even more country borders. Trakstar gave them a central location, accessible from any device with internet to keep their employees and managers connected. Regardless of time zone, employees can log in to Trakstar to take performance notes, log journal entries, set goals and they can include their supervisor; inviting them to take an active role in professional development all year long.

When it comes time for performance reviews, rather than wondering “Is the office in [another country] doing reviews right now?”, everyone is on a consistent schedule. Cindy Kain, Executive Assistant to the President & CEO had an interesting comparison. She said, “We use to be very inconsistent with reviews and review schedules. Now, it’s like Christmas. Everyone knows when Christmas is and you have time to prepare for it. Employees, supervisors, and leadership all know when review time is coming and now they can prepare. We’re getting reviews done in less time and on schedule.”

But if I do have a question, I’ve always been able to reach someone quickly from the Customer Experience team and get it answered.”

Now that Trakstar is set up for Make-A-Wish International, they continue to see high user activity all year long through performance notes and rely heavily on the automated email reminders from Trakstar to keep everyone on schedule.
